This morning the club and Sam's family shared memories of his long life of selfless humanitarian service.

Sam Feitelberg remembrance

Carrie called the meeting to order at 7:30.

Guests: the Feitelberg family:  Gail Feitelberg, Debbie Poulin, Mike Feitelberg, Cher Feitelberg and Lisa Davison.  Orla, Jim Donovan’s granddaughter and Carol Georges.

Dan attended the District Assembly in Lyndonville this past weekend along with John Pane, Richard, Amanda, and Keith.  There were many topics discussed at the assembly including The Rotary exchange program for adults and youth;  RYLA-Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (Amanda currently working with); mental health (Question-Persuade-Refer training program available to Rotarians); the reminder that grants remain available; and finally, the District is working on a strategic plan.

The speech contest was outstanding with eight contestants and Zoe did a great job though she did not “win” the event.  Keith assisted Zoe along the way and commented on how great she did!

The Little League snack shack is seeking volunteers from our club to service the shack nightly during the month of May.  There are thirty eight slots to fit.  This provides a great opportunity to meet and greet our community from Shelburne, Charlotte and Hinesburg.

The first May 6 race is volunteer ready.

In late May a “spin” will take place at The Shelburne Athletic Club.  Date to be determined.

Denis, Bob and Keith will co chair the Golf Ball drop in 2023. Date to be determined.

Dan is still unable to locate a place for our Changing of The Guard party.   Ideas of public restaurants were discussed and he will pursue that route.

The club shared remembrances of Sam with his family in attendance today.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
