CSH Rotary - June 23, 2021

 

Chris Davis called the meeting to order at 7:31am.

 

Susan Grimes provided the opening words.

 

Chris mentioned that Bill Deming and his wife are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today!

 

Linda Gilbert mentioned several people will be meeting at 11:30am at the Charlotte school to do some weeding of their garden.

 

Chris thanked people for helping with the race at Basin Harbor and congratulated Carrie Fenn for winning her division. Chris noted that there will be another race in August at the Shelburne Sugar Works.

 

Ros Graham reported that the Shelburne Farmer’s Market will be returning to the central parade ground on July 10.

 

Our first face-to-face meeting will be on Wednesday, July 7, at the Methodist Church in Shelburne. The group will continue to offer a Zoom connection to have hybrid meetings. About 22 people indicated that they would plan to attend in person.

 

Carrie provided an update about the food distribution over the summary. She asked people to sign up at the link in the email that Chris sent out.

 

Chris reminded everyone to pay their dues and mail their checks in.

 

Diana Vachon introduced Claire Giroux-Williams from the Vermont Family Network, a statewide nonprofit supporting families with children who have special needs or disabilities. People can reach out to Claire at claire.giroux-williams@vtfn.org
