The April 29 meeting of the Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary Club centered on a practical reminder of how local Rotary service connects to the broader work of The Rotary Foundation.

The morning's speaker walked members through the many ways Rotarians can support the Annual Fund and the Foundation's wider mission. The presentation highlighted several straightforward options, including Rotary Direct, online giving through rotary.org/donate, checks given through the club Foundation chair, and gifts made directly to The Rotary Foundation. Members were also reminded that gifts can be made in honor or memory of someone, and that corporate matching can increase the impact of an individual contribution.

The presentation was a useful companion to the club's ongoing service calendar. CSH Rotary's weekly work is often highly local, from food shelf support and community events to youth programs and volunteer partnerships, but the Foundation gives that same service ethic a wider reach. Contributions made through Rotary help support projects well beyond one club or one town, while still reflecting the same habit of looking for practical ways to help.

As always, the meeting also gave members a chance to reconnect over breakfast, share updates, and look ahead to the next rounds of club activity. With spring projects underway and summer volunteer opportunities coming into view, the conversation was a timely reminder that Rotary's strength comes from both local follow-through and participation in the larger Rotary network.

The club thanks the speaker for helping members better understand the Foundation's role and the simple steps Rotarians can take to support its work.
