Today is the first meeting of the month therefore we spend the entire meeting working together in teams on our various service projects and important upcoming events.
Amanda opened the meeting with a few announcements:May 3 Opening Day of the Little League Snack Shack. A 50/50 raffle will be introduced this year to raise monies for the club.Shelburne Athletic club still requests our club work at three Run Days in exchange for hanging our banner there. Chris Davis will get the dates.Howard Center Shelburne Road raised flower bed project. Jim Donovan is spearheading this project and will have information soon.Dragon Boat Festival. Dan York asked if anyone is interested again this year and those members will participate in the training day in July and the Event on August 2nd and 3rd.Today the club will break into four “teams” to brainstorm ideas for the future.1. Leadership-meet with Catherine on the topic of becoming a leader for the club.2. Breakfast – members to brainstorm how to manage breakfast going forward since Sophie has again stated she is not interested in preparing breakfast in the format she was before.3. Service Projects-Nancy will sit in for Charlie to discuss and develop two service projects for the summer.4.Farmer’s Market – the club will attend the market once per month. Develop ideas for expanding Rotary awareness at the event.
