President Richard Fox led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and Chris Engstrom gave her usual timely and thought-provoking devotional, including both the time to recognize the sacrifice of those who served in the military, and the joy of summer breezes.

Introductions:
Chris Engstrom introduced Rose and Anatoly, the new owner/innkeepers at Heart of the Village Inn
Terrell Titus introduced Annette Hannah, new owner of Titus Insurance. Annette is a resident of Milton, a member of St. Albans Rotary and owner of an insurance agency in Swanton
Ric Flood welcomed Alan Bates, our newest member and a new resident of Shelburne.

Scholarship Winners
President Elect Trafton Crandall, chair of the scholarship committee, introduced the four winners of the Charlotte Shelburne Rotary Club scholarships awarded annually to local youth who will be graduating and continuing to college. We had 20 applicants, 11 finalists and four winners, all from CVU. He pointed out that the scholarship program fits perfectly with Rotary’s commitment to foster youth and education.
The winners are:
Abigail Trombley who will be attending Wake Forest University, studying neurology and political science. She is from Shelburne, the daughter of Shana and Steve Trombley
Dana Hartshorn will be attending Bates where she plans to study psychology and music with the hope of becoming a music therapist, as well as continuing her professional work as a musician. She is from Shelburne, the daughter of Deb Hartshorn.
Jessie Rushford  has graduated from Vermont Technical College as a Veterinary Technician and will be returning there for a business degree. She is from Hinesburg, the daughter of Michelle Rushford.
Shania Bunbury has completed a program offered at Burlington Technical Center in law enforcement and will be attending UMass in Lowell for a degree in criminal justice. She is from Shelburne, the daughter of Gloria Mantagaris.
