Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary
Meeting on June 13, 2018

There was no note taker

Most of the meeting was spent doing a service project organized by Sally Wadhams and her committee to benefit homeless people at COTS in Burlington and homeless families at Harbor Place in Shelburne. There were 2 tasks: Making and bagging ham, turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato whole wheat sandwiches and cutting and bagging homemade brownies brought in by members. The organization was terrific and about 160 sandwiches and brownies were packaged for COTS and another 40-50 sandwiches and brownies went to Harbor Place. Sally, Linda Gilbert, Margo Casco, John Hammer and other organizers (apologies to anyone left out of this account) cracked the whip and the whole operation was completed with 10 minutes to spare in the meeting. Needless to say, everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the fellowship the project provided.

The plan moving forward is to dedicate a meeting a month to a service project. Judging from the fun all had, this should be a nice addition. Next project is for the Lund Center organized by Susan Grimes scheduled for July 25, 2018 during the regular meeting.
