President Judy opened the meeting with the pledge and Sam gave us a brief prayer.

Guests today were the Rotary speech contestants and they were Peter Trombley and Jason Burgess. With them were parents and relatives Steve Trombley, Shanna Trombley, Jeff Adams, and Haley Trombley. Annette Hannah was also visiting us from St. Albans.

We then had ongoing reports from H2H Tela visit, the rundown of the Super Bowl party and pool and an update on the library from Lara Keenan.
 
The Super Bowl pool yielded $600 of profit for Rotary. Alan Bates, Alan Hathaway, Jane McKnight, and Molly Walsh were the big winners outside of the club.
 
We also got a thank you note from the people at Shelburne Farms for our parking duties.
 
 
Sergeant At Arms
Richard Fox jumped in as Sergeant at Arms and the Happy Fines were as follows.
Ric was happy for the snow
Jon was glad the Patriots won
Sam was happy for good health
Judy was happy the speech contestants were here
John was very happy for snow
Keith was happy that he got a new set of skis that he got to try out
Jane McKnight was please for Tom Brady and the Patriots
John Dupee is going to miss the committee meeting next week because he’ll be traveling Laura was happy for safe driving this morning
Bob Sanders was happy for the Patriots, otherwise he was not very happy

We had our speech contest and Jason presented a speech on community service at the local levels and Peter presented one on the depth and meaning of the four-way test. After the judges voted Peter was chosen to move forward.
