On September 25th, we will be meeting at 7:15 at the Ohavi Zedek on 188 North Prospect Street to hear a presentation addressing Burlington's Little Jerusalem, the Lost Mural, its artist and symbols. Breakfast will be served to our rotary, there will be a presentation and viewing and there will be time for questions and answers. There will be a charge of $10 per person and a possible donation of $180 to cover an honorarium for the speakers and their program.
September 21st and 22nd is the second annual CSH Rotary Classic Pickleball Tournament
October 27th is the Halloween Parade, sponsored and organized by the CSH Rotary club
November 1st thru 7th is the WindowDressers build week
Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale and Representative Jessica Brumsted discussed legislative issues. Jessica started the program off and spoke about Vermont's response to the child care crisis highlighting the importance of the $120 million public investment and the impressive results we are already seeing in the field with more child care centers opening up all across Vermont and many more vacancies for infants and young children allowing parents to return to work after welcoming new children. Jessica also spent time talking about the importance of government accountability. She worked to bring more transparency within government at all levels - systemic changes that will be simple, clear, independent, objective, and fact-based. Senator Hinsdale, a Vermont State Senator spoke about housing, focusing the discussion on her ongoing work to increase affordable housing option in Vermont explaining how critical it is to our state. She also spoke of the importance of preserving our environment while we move forward on this important work.
