Club updates:

Membership Chair Ric announced that Eric Rossier is proposed for membership. Eric is a certified hypnotist in Shelburne and resides in Lincoln.

All is well at the farmer’s market. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to come out and help set up and take down.

Golf ball drop is one month away- Rotarians please remember pick up your tickets from Bob Sanders. We’ll need help at the farmer’s market on July 27 and August 3 for ticket sales.

Give stubs with money to Bob Sanders, John Dupee or Matt Segel. Sam has already sold all his tickets!

Sam reported the monument rocks for WWI and WWII will be installed this week at the Veteran’s Memorial in Shelburne.

Charlie shared news of the Leukemia Society Light the Night fundraiser golf tournament - he is putting together a foursome so if folks are interested in playing, please let him know.

The Club doesn’t have a lot of service opportunities in July so Keith asked members to focus on the things we can do- working the Shelburne farmer’s market and selling golf drop tickets.

Keith noted that time change for the meeting seems to have worked out, but if folks need to leave early for other commitments they should feel free to do so.

Sergeant at Arms

Keith’s twins turned 11 this weekend, and he is happy for the Amish, Watching them plow the land with horses, watching the kids walk to school, lifts your spirits to drive through their community and the see the beauty and dedication to their belief and values.

Linda is happy for all the H2HT volunteers.

Ros is happy to see Terrell and Colleen.

Todd had his third visit from a bear.

Erik is excited for golf ball drop season and his son is excited to sell tickets (remember he sold the most tickets at the farmer’s market last year!).

Keith closed the meeting with a Dope, a Quote and some Hope:

Dope:  What does Jupiter listen to on the car ride to work- NepTunes

Quote: The only intelligent response to the ongoing gift of life is gratitude. For all that has been, the Rotarian says thank you. For all that is to come, the Rotarian says yes.

Hope: You have to break the habit of thinking that the solution to your problems is to rearrange things outside. The only permanent solution to your problems is to go inside and let go of the part of you that seems to have so many problems with reality.

See you all next week!
