The CSH Rotary has signed up to help out flood victims in the Chittenden County area following yet another devastating flood here in Vermont this past week.

Our Speaker Presentation:
Bob Trautwine spoke with us about his side business and long-time interest in collecting sports memorabilia.  He turned his hobby into a small business along with his wife and two children.

Do you remember Topps bubblegum that came with baseball cards from all the professional baseball players?  It started out as a public relations idea to help Topps sell more gum, imagine?!  It clearly worked!  The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card can get you anywhere from 9.5 to 30 million dollars depending on the condition of the card!

Hyper Relic is a Shelburne business all about buying and selling sports memorabilia.  If you have a collection that you are not sure what to do with; Bob is happy to show you where the value might be, and discuss next steps, including the importance of making sure your collection is insured and protected.

Hyper Relic will buy all kinds of sports memorabilia such as old baseball cards and if you are looking to sell they can help you out with that as well. Hyperlink is a top rated seller on eBay and has a wide network of collectors and followers on social media that can help you get the highest return for your collection.  If you have a card (or several) that you would like to get graded but don’t know where or how to start; Hyper Relic can take a closer look at your cards to determine condition, then submit them to PSA for grading to assist you.

Hyper Relic also helps people looking to complete their memorabilia set – they have lots of inventory that is not listed on their website and might be just what you need!

Jim Donovan presented Bob with a book that will go to the Shelburne Pierson Library  titled, “When Baseball was Still Tops”.  Nancy Danforth closed the meeting with closing words.
